Joy Candle Co. began as a simple act of love: a way to honor my mother, Joy, whose warmth, creativity, and quiet strength shaped everything I am. After she lost her battle with cancer, I wanted to create something that celebrated her spirit and kept her memory close. From that intention, Joy Candle Co was born — small-batch soy candles handcrafted with care and inspired by the moments, places, and people that make life meaningful.

Our candle-making journey began at home. I started by melting down old candles in the kitchen to give new life to their vessels, then ordered beginner kits and taught myself the art of candle-making. As I played with different waxes and wicks, I uncovered the magic of crafting unique fragrances that evoked cherished memories of my mother—her voice, her spirit, and the small moments that defined her. Those early, hands-on experiments became the heart of our process, shaping the creative, memory-driven approach we embrace today.

Each candle is poured in limited runs using clean-burning, eco-friendly soy wax, premium fragrances, and thoughtfully designed labels. Our scents are imaginative and layered — a nod to the stories and memories that surround us — while our label art reflects the same playful, personal touch my mother loved. We blend creativity with craftsmanship so every candle feels like a keepsake.
